What is creation? We can talk about creation the beginning of time. We can talk about creation the entirety of the earth. We can talk about creation in relation to the verb meaning to make. But I want to take you to the place inside ourselves; the generative action. Lets walk down this path and see where it goes:
How is it that I see you and you see me? This could be the act of cells creating an eye and this viewed information being delivered to the brain. The physical act of seeing. Now what makes the cells? What makes these particular cells want to create an eye? We can easily say instructions from a genome. But what about these instructions? And what about the energy to create?
Generative creation is the action in the presence of. I see you, you see me. We can determine details of one another and read some things that are unseen. Moving to the idea of internal creation we know this is dealing with actions and reactions that are totally non-visible. An idea, a feeling, thoughts that rush through your mind, and plans made for the future. These are intangible and completely non-physical real things. Some become inspired and dream up new inventive creations like architecture, artwork, a new novel or a secret prayer. It all comes from somewhere. A non-physical sector that cannot be seen. I’m hard pressed to say what this generative area is. The reaction of chemicals or random invisible thoughts floating through a hardwired and very physical brain…could it really be just that? If it is a bunch of chemicals acting and reacting, then they appear to be directed.
The director is you. Not your eye. Not your chemicals. And certainly not your brain, for this is the command center, not the commander. The thoughts and emotions that we experience are as real as the chair we sit on although unseen. Ever have two conflicting thoughts? Ones that are polar opposites? The thoughts are not us but part of us. We still make a choice as to which of the conflicting thoughts to follow. Isn’t it amazing?! Even within unseen thoughts, that are real, we still make a choice.
I’m touching the idea that there is a universe inside you. This should not be discounted or belittled…it should be cherished. As a matter of fact, if you can think it, you can do it in this physical world but we must think it first. So go ahead and make your choices and feel those feelings for they are not REAL but GENERATIVELY REAL.
